Here are some fo the benefits of membership of the British Society for the Philosophy of Science
Members receive details of the Society's programme of events, and are entitled to attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting in June.
Members may subscribe to the British Journal for the Philosophy of Science at a significantly reduced rate, in fact the saving more than pays for the subscription to the Society itself (for details see How to Join, below).
Members are also entitled to subscribe at discounted rates to two other journals in the field:
Studies in History and Philosophy of Science Series at the greatly
reduced rate of only 57 Euros for all three journals.
The journals in the series are:
Part A: Studies in History
and Philosophy of Science
Part B: Studies in History
and Philosophy of Modern Physics
Part C: Studies in History
and Philosophy of Biological and Biomedical Sciences
Philosophy of Science (reciprocal discount of 24% on PSA membership plus subscription to Philosophy of Science)
Members receive a 20% discount on Oxford Univesity Press Philosophy titles, both front and backlist.
The Society publishes a quarterly journal of philosophy of science. The Journal has its own page, including details of contents for recent issues.
Annual membership of the society costs £7 (UK and Europe), US$12 (elsewhere). Students may join at the discounted rate of £1 (UK and Europe), US$2 (elsewhere). Members of the society are entitled to subscribe to the British Journal for the Philosophy of Science at the special discounted rate of £23 (US$40 outside Europe) per year. To join the Society and subscribe to the Journal, send a cheque for £30 (US$53 outside Europe), or for students £24 ($44 outside Europe), payable to Oxford University Press, to:
